Ever wonder how your Octane Seating will be packaged at delivery? What about the setup of your new seating? Will you need to assemble your new furniture or is the product fully assembled? All the answers to these questions are shown here in this short 3-minute setup. Discover exactly how to remove your seats from their packaging, the basic setup required and getting them ready for years of fun and enjoyment.

How will my theater seating be packaged at delivery? All Octane seats will be fully cartoned and wrapped (inside the carton) so that your chairs can ship fast and be well protected. Once you have the box in the room of choice open the top of the box and then carefully push the box onto its side. The seating can then easily be pulled out from the box inside of its protective bag. Remove the bag and lift up the seat back from the base. The seat back can then be attached to the two exterior seat base clips in the base by simply aligning those connectors with the brackets on the back and sliding them together. This entire process should take no longer than a few minutes and does not require any tools.

Once the back is securely attached, locate the owners manual attached to the top of the seat back and carefully cut the tag that attaches to your furniture. You can then store your manual for later reference and warranty purposes. Included in the owners manual packaging will be chair leg caps that will prevent the seats from sliding that you may want to add to the legs.

One additional procedure shown in this video that is particular to this seat is the attachment of the power headrest cable. If you have purchased one of the theater seats with a power headrest mechanism then you will need to connect the power cable from the base of the seating to the dongle that hangs from the seat back. This needs to be done before you connect the actual seat back to the base. This cable allows for the headrest to move back and forth via the controls on the armrests.

Our standard delivery is termed a ‘threshold delivery’ which means the furniture will be placed in the cartons at the first dry location at your address. This can be the front door or garage. White glove delivery will bring the boxes into your room of choice where they can then be unboxed by the delivery team and set up for use. There is actually a third delivery type called ‘Room of Choice’ which means the boxes will be brought into the house and placed into the room of choice but they will not be unboxed and set up. Please confirm with your invoice or retailer which option you selected at the time of sale so that you can prepare accordingly for the delivery.

Rear Speakers

Placement for the rear surround sound speakers is measured according to the size, slope, and occupancy of the room.

Mount them on the wall directly behind the last row of seats. If the wall is close to the seats, position the speakers 6 to 12 inches above a viewer’s head height. If the wall is several feet from the last row of seating, mount the speakers at ear height.

If your seating rows are longer than four seats then mount the rear speakers one seat width apart, in the center of the back wall. Seating for five or more should have speakers centered to the end seats of the back row.

9.1 Surround Sound Speakers

If you have a 9.1 surround sound system, mount the extra two speakers on the top half of the wall next to your screen. They are meant to add aerial sound effects and other ambient noises, like birds, planes, noises from the attic-and so forth.

Stainless Black Steel Cup Holders

There are a number of new and exciting accessories that have come into the Octane line this month – as well as some material changes to many of the components in the products, like power buttons and cup holders. These changes are improvements to the quality of the product that are part of our annual review of our product line-up.

As the Octane brand continues to grow and develop, we have focused our energy on delivering a truly world-class product, where we control every aspect of the production and development. The end result is that our customers win, and we move forward in our quest to innovate comfort from innovation. With that said, check out these beautiful new black brushed stainless steel cup holders on the in-stock line-up. These black cups are standard on the majority of the in-stock models now but if you prefer stainless steel, that is easily available as an alternative.

Aluminum Tray Tables

Another exciting addition to the accessory options are our new aluminum tray tables. We love our standard black tables and spent a long time finding the best material surface for that item. But if you want an upgrade, go with this new table.

The finish is again brushed, so that one does not see fingerprints, and the surface is highly durable and easy to clean. This is a superb consideration if you are in the market for new Octane seats with tray tables.

The post on this tray – like the standard black trays – is made from solid stainless and is very heavy and durable. It slides in and out of the front insert easily so that the table can be removed as required when no longer needing it.

Power Button Controls

For a while now, we have been scouring the market for a power control button set that would best represent what Octane stands for and would deliver a major upgrade on performance and durability. We can comfortably say that after almost a year of searching and working with our partners to develop the right component, we are finally there.

The look and innovative styling fit perfectly with our brand. The buttons utilize core functionality that is intuitive to use and elegant to look at. These include double touch sensors, USB charging ports and a brushed black steel finish.

In the image shown to the left, the back button is the USB charger and the button that is lit controls the lighting in the cup holders and under the seat. The two front buttons control the recline and incline.
